Healthy Habits

A yoga teacher recently gave me this bit of wisdom:

“You are not your body, but your body is yours. You will have it with you always, and depend upon it for much, so care for it well.”

Choosing to make intelligent habits for a long, healthy and active life requires acting on the advice given to us by health and aging experts.

Choose to:

  • Eat well – small regular meals, with more greens, less grains, sugar and fats
  • Exercise – 30 minutes every day
  • Be Active – take frequent movement breaks during the day. Sitting for hours on end is terrible for your posture and your health
  • Be Positive – Happy people are more resilient, less stressed and live longer
